Desi and Lynda

Sure. Desi ( Tammens Desire) has very famous ancestors. She comes from Tammen Shah out of Tammen. That was Patrick Swayze stud. She has won a lot of titles as a yearling and 2 year old. She was after that sold to Mrs. Alice Smith. She had teo outstanding babies. Sadly Mrs. Alice became sick with cancer. Her no good barn manager didn’t take care of the horses and a lot of them sadly starved to death. Janet and Mike Carraway, Desi’s breeder’s found out and right before Mrs Alice past she signed Desi back over to Janet. At that time a rescue had taken most the horses off the property. Janet brought Desi to her farm in Starkville. I was over there working with my Extreme mustang makeover horse. Mike was helping me with him. I helped to unload her. It broke my heart to see her in this terrible condition. I went to visit her several times that month. I also was training an aged Arabian mare and hoped to get her fit for endurance. Sadly she got injured and the vet thought she will never be fit enough for what I had in mind. Next thing I know, Janet Carraway calls me up and says, hey come pick up your horse. I’m like WHAT??? She says, no one can do anything with Desi. She apparently picked you. Come get her. Wow. I was so honored and happy. This is my heart horse. She has picked me. Desi wasn’t broke to ride when I got her. She was well halter broke and super sweet but had her own stubborn head. It took me another 3 months to get her to a good enough weight to get her under saddle. And she was not an easy one. However she always keeps me safe, a lot of folks now when they ride her fall in love with the Arabian breed. She is an exceptional mare. The photo on the top was Desi the day Janet Carraway picked her up.

This is what we now do pretty much daily, we are training right now for a 50 mile endurance race at Witch dance in April

Can you tell , she is all red mare. Full of fire
